Most nights, Maya doesn't sleep while the Crimson Raiders HQ is powered down. While her companions are passed out and lost in their own disturbing dreams, her nightmare feels as if it's here in the real world.

In a storyboard competition, I developed an original short story for BL2 that could possibly become part of the lore. Though I was not a finalist, it was still a great experience to be able to pitch my idea to the judges from 2K / Gearbox.

Whereas we are very familiar with the humor, gags, and action of the Borderlands universe, I wanted to explore some of the subconscious - fears, regrets, addictions - haunting our four main protagonists. Maya, as the Siren (psychic), was a great heroine to build my short story around.
